September 22 2007 - Buckingham Palace Again, Malaysia Hall Again

Day 2 of our stay in London...

We didn't get to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony yesterday, so today, we head to Buckingham Palace again, this time earlier...

Like yesterday, went to Russell Square Underground station again...

Newspaper stand outside the station

Yeah, these are the topics of the day when we were there.. (LAST YEAR)

Russell Square Station

Our day pass

I know, most people would tell u that the Oyster Card is the best card to have if u are traveling extensively with the Underground...

Well, that only applies to individuals... If u have a group of 10 or more, if is very much cheaper if u buy the Group Day Pass.. look at the price printed on the ticket... and that price is for unlimited rides a day..

Ok, so we're headed to the Buckingham Palace again...

Group photo

But I wasn't in the group photo? Why ah??

Because I was doing this

I was tall enough, so I was tasked with recording videos of what's happening inside the gates, while they were happily taking lots of photos, grrr..

So what's happening inside the gates?

Changing of the Guard ceremony la! Dooh!!

I said I was tasked with recording videos, didn't I?

Mission accomplished, and it's afternoon, time to look for somewhere for lunch, and we know exactly where we wanna go...

The place that we wanna go, requires us to take the Underground again...

By the way, we're really excited with our lunch place...

If u have followed my post about our previous night, surely u will have an idea of where we're headed to... somewhere near Queensway...

Queensway

When I say somewhere near, I mean the street next to Queensway..

Inverness Terrace

Spotted this peculiar looking car on our way

Electric car huh..

In case u haveen't guessed it, we're heading to the Malaysia Hall again!

Wait a minute... isn't this place a residential hall? What lunch??

Well, since they have a residential hall, naturally they would have a cafeteria... and this cafeteria is open for the public to dine in... but they're well hidden in the basement of the hall...

Price list

I'm going to declare to u guys, the best place to have Malaysian food is right here! Not some Malaysian restaurant in town that sells expensive and unauthentic Malaysian food...

Yeah if u convert, £1.50 is about RM10, and paying that for roti canai is expensive by Malaysian standards... but hey, it's London here alright? And if u wanna have roti canai in 1 of those unauthentic Malaysian restaurants, they'd cost at least £5!! See the difference?

Ok, let's show u some food...

And a discriminating policy practiced here...

Just because we're not Muslims doesn't mean we're not Malaysians what... we still love our nasi lemak and roti canai la... wtf -.-"

Queueing for food & camwhoring

Group photo

Nasi campur is not enough for me...

Teh tarik please~

The food here really taste like the real deal... spicy and hot and yummy...

And not only the food feels like home,

They even have TheStar newspaper!

Utusan too??!!

Familiar adverts in the newspaper!!

All in all, a very satisfying meal for all of us.... and time to move on for the day...

if u've seen my post of the previous night, and seen who opened the building, then u would've a pretty good idea as to how they operate..
