September 20 2007 - Leaving Paris

Technically, we're still in Paris today, but realistically, we will just be leaving and head back to England.. so I would say, Europe Tour has actually ended.. but still have to keep the events going in the blog for the sake of continuity...

The Last Supper Breakfast in Europe

After a hearty breakfast, it's time to get moving...

13 days of traveling has taken its toll on most of us. It's really tiring, even though we're not backpacking at all...

This is what happens once on the bus

And let's give u another last photo..

The Last Service Area in Europe

There were 3 coaches leaving Liverpool, and a couple more from Sheffield, 14 days ago.. and since we have all checked out of our respective accommodations back in England, we would have to make our own arrangements once back in England..

There's 4 drop off points for us to choose: London, Manchester, Sheffield or Liverpool. Me and my mates, we have plans to conquer explore London, the choice was obvious...

Let me get to the point... the main reason to stop in this service area is to take a break, and also to switch buses according to where we're headed to...

Last big group photo with tourmates before we part

Everything sorted out, continue to move on... how we came, that's how we're gonna get back.. off to Calais to take the ferry back to England..

While in Europe, we traveled from country to country without the need of passport stamping at the Customs.. UK, while also part of the European Union @ EU, is an exception...

You'll see this when u approach Calais ferry terminal

You'll need to fill the Landing Card and let the officers stamp your passport

And you'll need to answer some questions by the officers

The customs officers will ask stupid questions like: "Why do u wanna come into England?", "Do you wanna work here?", and sometimes, try to trick u with statements like: "Yeah, u can earn alot if u work in England, u sure u don't wanna work here?"

Just remember, don't act smart, just answer their questions directly. A simple "My flight is in London/Manchester. I wanna go in to catch my flight home." will do... flashing your air ticket will help a great deal too...

The worst thing u can say is: "I wanna find my cousin/uncle/whoever who is staying in London/Newcastle/wherever.." because in the UK, finding relatives is usually equivalent to jumping aeroplane @ working illegally..

Enough with tips... continue...

Customs cleared, time to get to the docks and wait for our ferry...

Some of us went to the toilet while waiting...

And naughty Bing snapped this while we're at it -.-

Driving onto the ferry

We haven't had our lunch, so 1st thing on board,

Buy food

Fish and Chips, literally

Dun kacau us eating la!

After filling up our tummy, time to explore the ferry again, since we have nothing much to do...

There's really alot of people on board

We went to the decks for some sea views...

Strong wind

I mean, REALLY strong wind!

Another group photo

Can't even see France mainland from here already

Goodbye France, Goodbye Europe...

With this, Europe Tour is concluded... but there will be another section coming up... not sure how soon... since I'm job hunting now, will blog when I can squeeze time out of my schedule...
