She knew it all along!

Remember the infamous Edison Chen sex saga scandal?

Contrary to popular belief, that bugger who uploaded those photos wasn't the first to expose this...

Jolin knew the truth long long ago! Why I say so?

If... you look for her song titled Mr.Q (which is really damn kau old song), she already knew when that song is produced...

Just you look at the lyrics, the second verse (after the first time chorus to be exact), she even has a hidden message for Edison (Edison was in that song's MV)...

说你愿意 为了我幸福开始吃素
放弃森林 好好只照顾一颗树木

There you go...

That's why I said, she knew it all along! And she already sing it out loud to us all long long ago!
(Direct translation of the lyrics, by demand)
Say you're willing; For my happiness, start being vegetarian
Give up the forest; Just take good care of one tree

(But then, if you don't understand the Chinese saying, it's hard to comprehend what this 2 sentences mean though... basically being vegetarian and taking care of just one tree, they just mean: stop screwing around, be loyal to one chick only lah...)

Hard as Rock

Sorry la, misleading title, hahahaha...

Actually I just wanna post some pictures taken during my visit to the newly open Hard Rock Hotel located at Batu Ferringhi, Penang.

They have their name illuminated in lights on the ceiling at the hotel lobby entrance

Another angle

A message for hotel guests outside the entrance

Dunno who the fuck does ELP stand for...

Unique toilet symbology

We went at night, and my handphone's camera didn't do much good in that environment...

Anyway, the hotel is awesome, they even have live band performing at the lobby every night...

And it's the first Hard Rock Hotel in Malaysia...

And of course, there's Hard Rock Cafe and The Rock Shop within the hotel premises as well..

What else?... Nothing much to say here, go find out yourself... kthxbai...

You know life sucks when...

Your US counterpart tells you that they are working round the clock to release the production firmware to you by this week so that they can go on their Christmas/New Year holidays without worriesand laugh at you while you work over the holidays to meet the targeted ship checkpoint before the year ends.

Me favorite character in Love Hina is not Naru or Shinobu...

Starbook Coffee

I think this would be a more fitting name for the one inside Border's Queensbay...

Have you ever felt that, there is something that you desperately desire, so desperate that you'd gladly die for it, and yet, knowing that even by giving your life, you will never be able to obtain it...

Do you know how that feels? One word: sucks.......
- - - - - - - - - -
I've never been particularly excited about something good happening to me, in fact I always feel kinda depressed. Weirdo right? It's not that I don't want anything good to befall me, I still hope for all those stuff like increments, promotions, bonuses, investment returns... it's just that, every time something good happens, there will be a corresponding bad thing to happen soon after that.

I'm just bracing myself for the storm after the rainbow, that's how my life is, and always has been, opposite from the norm I suppose....

I didn't realize...

what I bought... until I got them all spread out on the bed and wrapped in the pillows and bolster...

Imagine hugging that while sleeping...

I could've cashed out earlier, but I don't see any point of cashing out such a small figure...

Instead I chose to do it in my first anniversary with the blogvertising company...

It's still quite a small amount, but... hey, better than nothing right? At least this'll pay for Tao Cuisine buffet for 2...

Thank you,

The company where I work in, we have a quite decent cafeteria...

Not to say the most awesome, most spectacular, coolest, bestest best cafeteria in the world, but it's quite cosy to hang around...

The food is reasonably priced too... here's what you get for RM6...

Grill fish and chips, mushroom soup and a scoop of ice cream...

And all internal employees get a meal subsidy of RM2, so the set meal above actually cost me RM4...

I heard from my US counterpart that in their Loveland site, the cafeteria has been closed down long ago, they'd have to bring lunch from home, or eat out...

It's the polar opposite compared to the company across the road... I heard that the US site of their company, the cafeteria sells some really awesome stuff, they even have Starbucks in the cafeteria!

(Btw, Loveland is a town nearby Denver, Colorado... the most exciting thing over there is either the Rocky Mountain National Park or Carmelo Anthony, depending on who you ask...)

I didn't realize that it's the school holidays again...

How I miss those times...

I used to scorn when the adults when they say things like "Student life is the best life, you should enjoy it and stop complaining about homeworks" and hit back with things like "You don't know anything about being a student now! I'd prefer working right now!"

It's ironic that I should say the same things that I used to hear to my juniors, and get back the same retort; and he/she would pass that message down and get the same retort as well...

Let me breakdown my journey from kindie to working adult...

Kindie : Heaven... go to school to play, eat and sleep...

Primary School : Easy, basically I just do what the teacher teaches, and aced the classes without difficulty...

Secondary School : It's basically the same as primary school, but the subjects more advanced and deeper; the struggle really begins at Form 4, mainly not because of the subjects too tough, but because the teachers are not competent enough to teach at this level (yeah that's the level of teachers in our beloved 1Malaysia nowadays). Here's where places like Pusat Tuisyen Kasturi comes into perspective... not too difficult though...

College : At first glance, it's heaven once again. No homework to pass up every day, just the mid term test, assignments and final exams. You skip lectures and the lecturers don't give a fuck about it at all (most of them). I spent more of my fresh college years in Brewball Pool Club than in lecture halls. Then come the semester finals, and you realize the heaven is actually hell. You skip class, you don't know how to do the exams, you're screwed. And now, no more Kasturi to save the day, you're on your own...

LJMU : Well, this 3 months UK stint is really heaven lah... skip class, go Scotland tour, go Old Trafford, go to Birmingham Newcastle Blackpool, study last minute still pass the exams... And to top it up, after the course ended, still get to go to London Europe and Dubai...

Working : You earn your own income, you become independent from your dad, you can buy whatever you want and nobody's gonna give a shit on you. Well, that was the idea more or less... until the letter from PTPTN, the phone call from Kojadi, the petrol bill, the tolls, car service; and then when in Penang: rental, trip to go back KL once in a while etc... suddenly you realize there's nothing left of your paycheck, and you cannot actually buy whatever you want. In college, assignments come once a semester, if you fail you just re-sit and repeat the subject; now, everyday is assignments and everyday is due date, EVERYDAY IS HELL until you retire...

If you ask me to compare student life and working life... the answer is straightforward:

A typical day of 6pm traffic in Penang, captured by someone who is having a not so typical day off...

Team lunch @ the newly open Eastin Hotel Penang, Monday 30th November 2009.

Security was tight, I wasn't allowed to take photos anywhere in the hotel at all...

Not where the hotel staff can see...

Some of the main course dishes

The buffet lunch costs RM35/person, the choices are not that extensive if compared to more expensive hotels like E&O or G Hotel, but the food was quite good. I wouldn't give my verdict whether worth the money or not, but it was a good lunch nonetheless...

Thanks boss!

20Cents: Reunion

It's been more than 2 years since that fateful day in Starbucks. A lot of things happened in between. They did make massive efforts to maintain the long distance relationship. It's tougher than the usual tough. He can't afford to call her on the phone very frequently due to the costly roaming charges. And the secrecy from the family means he can't do much webcam sessions with her at all.

She settled down in Melbourne well, graduated, and got a job offer from a design firm there. And there's this guy who treats her super nice. She was torn between being faithful and being lonely. In the end, he decided that it was best for her to move on, and encouraged her.

He tried to move on himself, and for the majority of the time, he managed quite well. They still kept in touch though, and they turned from lovers into best friends.

Then, one day, she called him.

"Gor! I'm back home la!"

"Ooo.. ok.. hahaha go shower la! Call me for what? Phone money too much?"
"I mean, I'm back home in Malaysia. I came back for holiday.."

"I'll be around for 2 weeks, let's meet up ok?"

"Of course ok la, when do you wanna meet up?"

"Hmm... today can ah?"

End up, he took leave from work that day, and they went to do something that they never did together before.

He didn't have a car back then, but now that he's working, he got himself a second hand Kancil. They went drive drive to Putrajaya.

And walk walk after seeing enough from the car...

And also talk talk while walk walk-ing...

For that few hours of a day, it felt like how it used to be, how she had never left at all...

And time passed quickly...

They went for dinner at Teppanyaki, Jusco Cheras Selatan... and they shared the food and drinks, just like how it used to be as well...

Out of a sudden,

"Gor, I feel tired of Melbourne."

"You could always come back for holidays, you know. Work is stressful wherever you are."

"It's not the work. It's something else."

"I'm thinking that maybe I wanna move back to Malaysia for good."

". . . . . ." what the fuck is she talking about??

"I got into a quarrel with him."

"Hah?? You quarrel with boyfriend, then you wanna come back?? Don't be rash la, you'll make up for it soon right?"

"Actually, I get into a lot of quarrels with him. We quarreled a lot usually also, but it's getting more and more intense lately."

"Take it easy la... couple sure got quarrel quarrel one... he sayang you one right? You've been through thick and thin overseas together."

"Gor... actually, I miss you..."

". . . . . . . . . . . ."

"You know, I'm speechless... what are you talking about? Don't surprise me by saying these things..."

"I'm not kidding. I thought I moved on, but really, I've never stopped missing you. I know you feel the same too. Why don't we start again? I'll come back and stay in KL."

"Please... you know I miss you too, but please, stop saying these things. You are just in a bad mood because of the quarrel now, calm down first ok? Don't think of doing something rash, you will regret it later one."

"Gor.... why?... Have you move on also?"

"That's not the point. You shouldn't be worrying about me. What's most important is what you really want. Remember why you go to Melbourne? Are you willing to give it up now?"

"I know you don't really wanna come back and be based here. You won't get an offer here that pays you half of what you get over there. It's a big decision, and one which I think you have a higher probability to regret if you make it."

"Won't you miss me at all? Don't you want me anymore?"

"Well? I miss you all the time, I really wish that I didn't get involved that deeply with Melbourne."

"But you did, that's a fact. And... and... I think I've coped quite well so far without your presence."

"Silly girl... don't stress yourself up about the past la. Take your time to relax, I'm sure you'll feel better by the time you head back to Australia :-)"

She left 2 weeks later...

> Your vision allows you to identify what's missing from a given situation, and your creativity allows you to fill in the gaps.
> Your awareness of how things function gives you the ability to come up with new uses for common objects.
> It is more interesting for you to pursue excitement than it is to get caught up in a routine.
> Although understanding details is not difficult for you, you specialize in seeing the bigger picture and don't get caught up in specifics.
> You tend to more proactive than reactive—you don't just wait for things to come to you.
> You do your own thing when it comes to clothing, guided more by practical concerns than by other people's notions of style.

How You Relate To Others:
You Are Generous

> Your awareness of those around you, along with your nuanced perceptions of the world at large, makes you the GENEROUS person that you are.
> You value time to yourself and understand how rich your private world can be—you know that you don't have to go wild to have a good time.
> You are excited and energized by ideas and often enjoy things more through observation than through experience.
> This tendency gives you an appreciation for different perspectives and opinions about the world.
> Being as aware of others as you are doesn't mean you find it easy to trust them immediately—this is something that happens more slowly for you.
> Despite this, you are aware of the complexities of many situations and are reluctant to pass judgments on others.
> Although you have fewer friendships than some people, those that you have are meaningful and are important to you.
> You value spending time alone—it is while reflecting on the world around you that you often learn something new about yourself or begin to understand something that's been bothering you.

Only In 1Malaysia!!

I was reading this in Niamah!!! and I suddenly thought of another scenario, rather spontaneously...

You see a Chinese bloke hanging out for lunch with a bunch of Malays, they are all having beef, he can't eat beef due to religion constraints (cow is a sacred animal for Buddhists, and Hindus lah), so he smile smile and order chicken dish, and the Malays also eating happily without perasan anything...

Then you see a Malay bloke hanging out for lunch with a bunch of Chinese, they wanted to go to the nearby coffee shop to have the famous siew yoke @ roast pork rice. "Erm. Cannot lah, the Malay cannot eat pork due to religion constraints (pig is dirty for Muslims), we have to take care of his feelings, this is very sensitive.", so they go to McD for lunch...

They can eat our sacred animal openly and we don't (and are not supposed to) give a shit about it, but we cannot eat animals that they consider dirty in close proximity from them.

What??!! I wanna pollute my own body, cannot meh?? Non of your business what! Why you care??

Darn... makes me feel more racist today...

Only in 1Malaysia!!!

No Facebook Please

People always wonder, why don't I jump onto the Facebook bandwagon??

Well, I'm not quite sure exactly why myself...

Let's just say that, I'm not easily attracted to something, but when I do I tend to be very stubborn and stick around for longer than necessary...

Let's just say Facebook and Friendster falls on the former, and football falls on the latter...

6.10PM : Preparing to cook dinner...

6.12PM : Hand phone rang. Rushed back to the room to answer the call.

I think the egg must have overheard the movie playing in my laptop..

Autobots! Roll Out!

6.13PM : Went back to the kitchen to see that my egg decided to heed Optimus Prime's call, rolled out onto the floor and transformed into this,

Pecah, burst, broken, gone, no more...

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

It's the heart that matters... Thank you :)

Back In Action

I've been contemplating on letting you rot and switch to another one...

In the end I decided that you deserve another chance...

Seems like your camera works fine upon return...

The In Season

They say that the economy is not going to come back anytime soon, that the current situation is the new economy climate, that cutting costs is the sensible thing to do, where a reduction is termed "as usual"...

It seems like not just the economy is as such, even cutting down on favorable human feelings and emotions is just "as usual" as cutting costs are...

Do you know?

Do you know this guy?

Do you know Khalil is not by any chance, a random name that he picked? There's a reason why he use this Melayu-ish name...

No... not because he got married to a Melayu...

This guy is actually a Baha'i, which means followers of Baha'ullah. Not sure what this religion is, some kind of religion potpourri created by this Baha'ullah guy in the 19th century in Persia...

And, contrary to popular belief, or what the female fans want to believe, Khalil is not pronounced as Ke-lile, the correct pronunciation is Ha-lil...

Yes, it is supposed to sound like the name of... of... of the majority race of our beloved 1Malaysia...

Don't hate me girls, just stating the fact...

Gunners Forever

Soccernet's headline few days ago:

Tottenham's Keane: We're stronger than Arsenal

Ha.ha.ha... Hahahahahaha!!!!
I haven't watched 1 full game of football in a long long time... not even when I was home, home's Astro somehow dropped sports channels for chinese drama channels... last time I tried watching football was at a McD, Arsenal vs ManUre, and the whole restaurant was like Old Trafford, and I didn't last half an hour in there...

I haven't really felt like doing much at all lately... tired with all sorts of things... Today was really a spontaneous decision, I just glanced at the matches available and schedule, and decided to give myself a life today, doing something that I used to enjoy doing... After all, a match against the Hotsoups is something big for the Gunners...

And, I'm glad I watched the game. For a few moments I was afraid that I won't be able to enjoy the game, but these guys proved me wrong...

For the whole match, Hotsoups was outplayed, outpassed, outclassed, and outscored, and big-mouth Keane was nowhere to be seen, until he got substituted after the hour mark when he made his 1st appearance on the TV. Even at 3-0 down, they didn't even try to attack the Gunners, they continue to put 10 men in front of their goal. So much for the London derby. It was supposed to be as big as ManUre - ManCity / Liverpool - Everton, if not bigger...

Anyway, I'm glad that I'm finding my way back...

Gunners Forever!!!

20Cents: Parting Ways

I've been forgetting this story for almost 5 months huh... I don't really know how to write this anymore, guess I'll just jump straight to the unhappy part...
Their relationship has never been quite the same as what you expect of most couples. They never mess each other up with their friends. He still go out with his friends, she still go out with her friends, and they never brag about each other in front of their friends, much.

They don't meet up and go dating as much as most couples do. And with the invention of the MSN Messenger, they don't even call each other up much.

But when they do go on dates, every moment was special, every moment was passionate, every moment was loving, every moment was memorable. They never got into quarrels, not even once. And they know each other by heart, to the core. It was as if they were tailor made for each other.

Two years into this relationship, on one rainy day, on a random date, while coming out of the cinema from a movie,

"Gor, I got something wanna tell you. Let's go for drinks"

"What what? Tell now la"

"Dowan la, let's go for a drink la!"

" :S, okok"

Fast forward to Starbucks...

"Gor, I'm going to enter my final year soon"

"Good la, I still got 2 years plus, cham la, you going to graduate faster than me"

"I'm not going to continue my final year here"

"Why ah???"

"The fees too expensive???"

"You remember I joined the uni contest, the prize is scholarship to Melbourne U? I just received offer letter"

". . . . . ."

". . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ."

"Oh... well... erm..."

"I dowan to go alone, I will miss you terribly one, gor u come with me ok? You apply for uni in Melbourne also la, we work part time together to pay your fees"

"It's not that straightforward one, you know"

"Then I dowan go also la"

"Don't like that la, long term wise, you should go. You don't get a scholarship to study in Australia and give it up just like that, right? How are you going to tell your mom?"

"But... but... :'( "

"You think la, seriously, if you don't go, will you regret when it is too late?"

". . . . . ."

"I know I'll miss you much more terribly than you'll miss me,"... "Impossible"... "but if it is up to me, you should grab this opportunity"

"I don't know..."

"We'll keep in touch, ok? We'll do webcam sessions as much as possible, ok? I'll try to save up and fly over there and visit you, ok?"

"Promise.. unless..."

"Unless what??!!"

"Unless, you manage to bump into some gwai lou that's better than me over there, and you decide to... you know... I won't stand in your way if that might happen... although I don't think I'll bump into anyone better than you... hmm..."

"NO!!! Never!!! Don't suggest that!!!"

"Yala yala!! Never la! Wait you graduate and come back la!"

"But then, I guess I won't stand in your way too if you feel lonely while I'm gone for the 2 years... I feel bad enough to leave you to pursue my dream, I won't want you to suffer because of me..."

"200% Never"

"Ok, never, we're meant for each other ya?"

"Of course"

She left for Melbourne a month later. He did not go and send her off in the airport, firstly is because the family were not supposed to know of their relationship, and secondly is because he was afraid he would not be able to say goodbye.

Deep inside, he knew it was going to be tough...

I gotta admit, I'm kinda.. fascinated with vampires lately... in fact I almost live like one nowadays: I don't sleep, much, at night; I lost appetite to normal food, I'm easily distracted, I always give in to my worse instincts, I'm always thirsty, and I drink blood.

I've been watching, and re-watching, and re-watching Twilight, Underworld and Underworld: Revolution, again, and again, and again...

I mean, how could you resist any vampire like Selene?

Her outfit does not reveal much of her at all, but I'm positive that many guys find her rather attractive. Actually, I think she's... sexy...

And I'm sure most girls couldn't resist Edward Cullen either, don't tell me otherwise, I've seen you girls losing your heads over him!

I wonder, why are they so attractive as vampires in the movies? I mean, I know Kate Beckinsale and Robert Pattinson are already quite irresistible in their own rights, but once they transformed into vampires, the charm, the gorgeousness, totally blows off into the next level..

And then I realized, it must be the eyes!

He's totally gorgeous, obviously...

It's their eyes that change colors, that electrify people. Their eyes change colors according to their personality, and when they are in a good mood, their eyes turn into charming colors.

That's what makes them so gorgeous compared to humans. Or at least, that was the case.

I came across this Geo Lens few days ago. It's actually a brand of contact lenses, they're from Korea, they're red hot over there, and... and... their lenses come in various colors!

They used to be just available in Korea, but good news to Malaysians, they've made their way to our shores quite recently.

The price is quite reasonable, a pair of them costs RM30.00 and can last you 3-6 months. They're manufactured by a company called GEO Medical, and since they're red hot in Korea, so there should be no safety concerns here.

Here's the Malaysian distributor's site, they call themselves Sekt-District, you can get more info on the product range, pricing, details and everything there.

So far, the customer service has been excellent, so you should have no problems if you want to deal with them.

Now, Everyone Can Fly Be A Vampire!

Ok lah, it's an advertorial lah this post, so what? Even Kenny Sia does it what! Most important is that the product is really good ma :P

It's getting tougher...

Even a mere 8 hours focus a day is getting impossible to command...

What the hell is going on with me???

I no longer wish for my business trip anymore. And I no longer hope for Geneva. Not if such is the nature of the compensation. The loss is too great.

I'd rather keep both of you and not travel, than travel and lose both your friendship to some stupid mudsling/weird ideas.

Midnight Sun

The Twilight series novels were good, all 4 of them, absolutely got me captivated...

Yet, the best for me is the one unpublished: companion novel for Twilight, the same story told on Edward Cullen's perspective...

Reading the inner struggles of Edward is like reading a mirror portrait of myself, is like staring at my own struggles, it's so similar that it's frightening...

Except that I'm not totally gorgeous, I don't drive ostentatious cars, and I don't feed on blood...

I've already read the draft pdf file that Stephenie Meyer uploaded in her website for 4 times. Now in progress of the 5th time...

It's just halfway complete, wonder which moron leaked the draft to the net midway through completion and pissed the author off completing the book...

Anyway, this is my personal brand of heroine now...

Help yourself too...

Belanja Makan Session

I made a promise, I'm going to belanja makan to my friends in Penang if I manage to get a job here, as an appreciation for the support and help I received.

Somehow, it didn't quite materialize, due to one reason or another, and soon, my relocation bonus moved on to other purposes. After awhile, we never mention this promise anymore.

But.. I never forgot this promise at all. I was waiting for another chunk of money to come my way before I made the proposal again, and this chunk materialized in the form of my conversion bonus, convert from contract to permanent employee.

Attendees: Me, Cath, Bing, Cannas, WingYew, Abo(LimYuen)
Date Time: 9-Oct-2009 (Friday), 7.00pm

Xuan Xin Restaurant @ Gurney Plaza

Packet Towel RM0.80 each

I think this restaurant is a bit like Dragon-i, those posh Chinese restaurant smack inside a shopping mall.

Snacks RM2.00

Except that it is more towards coziness instead of Dragon-i's grandeur. And the price is cheaper too.

Seasoning provided on the table

There were 6 of us, we ordered a Set For 4, 2 soups, and another ala carte dish.

Steamed Black Chicken Soup with Herbal 药材燉乌鸡汤 RM8.80

Hot n Sour Szechuan Soup 四川酸辣羹 RM6.00

The soups were okay, I personally didn't feel any extraordinarily about them.

Ala Carte @ Braised Bean Curd with Fresh Golden Mushroom

This is quite delectable, the bean curd (or more commonly known as tofu) was cooked till perfectly soft and tangible, gravy taste great, and topped up with nice chunk of vege. I love vege :-)

Set E (recommended for 3-4 pax) - RM48.80

Deep Fried Pork Chop with Black Pepper Sauce 黑椒猪扒王

Crispy Fish Fillet with Salted Egg Yolk (forgot the Chinese name =.=)

Stewed Chicken Cube with Basil Leaf in Claypot 三杯滑鸡煲

There's another Seasonal Vegetable 清炒时菜 where you get to pick from a few choices of vege. I forgot to take the picture of that because it looks quite ordinary.

Oh and the set comes with rice as well..

And forgive me if some of the pictures are quite blurry. You see, I'm still not too familiar with how to fully utilize my new phone's camera capability. Am in the midst of getting used to it.

The food was good, and the environment quite serene. I'd say it's worth the money if you feel like spending a bit more money to have a better meal at a comfortable environment.

And, I know, although I was the one footing the bill,

Thanks mates, for accepting invites and coming. If I get more goodies in the coming future, for example big increment or promotion, then let's do this again ya? :-)
