Battle Los Angeles

Went to watch this movie while waiting for my bi-monthly car wax @ Queensbay...

Don't know why almost everyone said this movie sucks... I actually like this movie very much...

The action scenes are more exciting, and I feel that the aliens are more realistic in this movie, compared to those of AvP and Skyline overwhelming-ness... Why must the aliens that come to our planet always be so much more advanced and indestructible?

The way this movie chooses to be different, depicting how we can really put up a proper fight with our existing weaponry, makes it so much more exciting to watch...

I hope they have sequels... Battle Tokyo maybe?

Randominius

I love writing ever since I was a small kid. I used to write down whatever was playing in my imagination (I have quite an imagination on many things, Pisces trait you know). I prefer writing because I am not very good artistically...

I used to write stories too. Not like what those kiddo celebrity writers nowadays do, no I don't publish them. I hand write them nicely into A4 sheets, bind them nicely, and share with my friends. Don't think my stories would go down well with the market anyway, back then, kiddo stories were just kiddo stories that nobody would pay attention to...

I kind of lost the passion a couple of years into secondary school, online games like JY and Ragnarok took over, and it wasn't until recently that I felt the urge to take up this hobby again. It is probably a good thing to write down whatever your brain thinks of, it's a good way to blow off steam and reduce stress.

I figured that A4 sheets would be some sort of a pain to keep. By the way, I'm not sure where my old handwritten books have gone to. Mom probably threw them away during one of her housekeeping exercises when I wasn't looking, sobs..

So, I have opened a new blog. A separate blog from this one. A blog that is dedicated for my spontaneous scribbling. A blog of 100% words and 0% pictures.

When I said scribbling, well not exactly scribbling, I would try my best to put more thoughts into the stories I write. I'd insert humor wherever possible or whenever I feel like it. Hopefully they'd turn out good.

I'm putting them in a blog because I hope to share with people on my masterpieces craps, hopefully people who read my stories will feel light hearted, reduce some stress, and indirectly learn some English/Chinese, for free.

So here's the link to my new blog, I name it:

Don't worry, I'm not closing this blog, this blog will remain my diary of sorts...

Blue Reef Fish & Chips

Drove down to the much discussed Straits Quay to see see look look and to hunt for dinner just now... found out that the place was pretty deserted... quite nice nonetheless... has that Victorian feel in it... feels quite like a couple of em' shopping malls in England actually... nostalgic nostalgic...

There are quite a number of eateries there, but only one looks to be almost fully seated...

So Blue Reef Fish and Chips it is...

Being in Straits Quay, this place is essentially a not so cheap dining outlet, they do have some Happy Hours and Promotions though... so you know when is the best time to come if you want it cheaper...

We had 1 of their signature Fish and Chips, and another Grilled Fish Fillet.

Beer Buttered Garoupa and Chips -

Garoupa is called Kueh Gao in Hokkien, I have no idea what that means either, its a type of fish you can get locally, and they get it fresh from the fisherman daily...

Grilled Halibut Fillet -

The halibut is air flown from the States daily, according to the waitress. If you play Cafe World on Facebook, you might be familiar with this fish name...

At the waitress's recommendation, we also had the Creme Brulee, which is basically cream burnt on the outside,

But fluffy on the inside...

Meal was fine. The fish were quite fresh, dessert was not too sweet, waitress is very helpful..

And most important of all, dining with good company is always great :D

Relief

Horror when I stepped onto this and saw the scale read 102kg... 102kg!!!

Then I saw the back of the box has some descriptions...

So my actual weight could be anywhere between 100kg and 104kg... most probably is the former lah... :P

Spontaneous

Saw this while walking past Jusco towards the car park @ Kinta City, Ipoh.. and bought it after a 2 seconds pause to evaluate the necessity to buy it...

Hopefully it will be a useful tool to make me lose weight... hmm...

两面夹攻 Double Sided Attack

Went to get my car just now to see a Hummer on the right side of my car,

And an Estima on the left side...

Nevermind, still pass, as long as the car is inside the box then can already, as per Surfine Hitech curriculum...

I might have made a slight dent on the Hummer in question though, while I was opening my door, accidentally...
