Chef Leong 重出江湖

3 simple dishes for 3 people to kick things off...

Stir Fried Potato and Sausage

Ingredients:
1. 2 x USA potatoes
2. 2 x Ayamas chicken franks (sausages)
3. Salt for seasoning

Steps:
1. Peel and dice the potatoes.
2. Dice the franks.
3. Heat some oil, throw all the potatoes into the wok, make the oil jump everywhere.
4. Pour a little bit of water in (next level oil jumping maneuver).
5. Cover the wok, simmer for 2 minutes.
6. Add the franks, and a pinch of salt, stir for another 2 minutes.
7. Serve.

Ah Leong's Stir Fried Iceberg Lettuce Special

Ingredients:
1. 1 x whole iceberg lettuce
2. 1 x egg
3. 3 x garlic clove
3. Salt and soy sauce for seasoning

Steps:
1. Deconstruct the lettuce into pieces, soak in salt water for 1 minute (pesticide removal maneuver).
2. Rinse the lettuce with clean water.
3. Finely chop the garlic.
4. Heat some oil, throw the garlic in, stir for about 10 seconds, make sure the oil pops around the kitchen.
5. Throw the lettuce in, stir till the vegetable shrinks considerably.
6. Add in a pinch of salt and a lot of soy sauce and stir for another half a minute. For an angmoh touch, can opt to replace soy sauce with Lea Perrins Worchester Sauce.
7. SPECIAL: Pop 1 egg into the mix, stir for another half a minute, gives the dish a different dimension.
8. Serve.

Ginseng Chicken Soup

Ingredients:
1. 1 x mom's ginseng soup pack (free of charge, obviously, otherwise I won't have it at all)
2. 3 x chicken drumstick
3. Salt for seasoning

Steps:
1. Marinate drumsticks with slight pinch of salt overnight.
2. Boil some water using the electric kettle.
3. Cut open the pack, pour everything into a soup pot, Add 2.5 liters of water, start boiling.
4. Put the drumsticks into a bowl, pour the boiling water from the kettle, let the chicken stay in there for 1 minute (chicken smell nullifying maneuver).
5. Wait for the soup to boil, throw the chicken in.
6. Turn the fire to low, let the soup cook for 90 minutes.
7. Add in a pinch of salt for added flavor.
8. Serve.

The most important step of all, after all the above mentioned steps...

EAT THEM ALL UP!!!
