Seafood Lunch

Took a break from cooking bacon strips this weekend, went to Butterworth with a couple of friends for a seafood lunch...

The restaurant we went to was... well... the signboard outside the eatery said Restoran Nelayan, but when we went in, it has another name... Kantin Ah Chong. It's located somewhere by the sea side, beside a fishing village...

Apparently, this 'canteen' is a prime location for seafood dining over in the mainland. 3pm and still there's customers pouring in. The picture above is kind of deceptive though...

5 of us, ordered 5 dishes...

1. 帝王菜炒三拜 Emperor Vegetable (literal translation) in Sambal

2. 啦啦 Steamed La La

3. 黑狗鸡 Guiness Stout Chicken

4. 虾姑 Heh Koh (Mantis Prawn)

5. 麦片虾 Oats Prawn

All the dishes are very nice, and very fresh. And at RM91, I guess it is a quite reasonable price for 5. Just look at the prawns and the la la...

I suspect this will be a new place for the friends to bring their visitors for mainland culinary besides the usual keh kia @ Ong Cheng Huat Seafood...
